Worked on the drawing for this project last year and Jo Spargo did the rest of the magic. Always wondered how it turned out and it looks great! Thanks Jo for contacting and crediting me.

Monday Faces

I was a bit hesitant in using this drawing for Monday Faces. Partly, I felt it wasn't good enough but I decided to put it up anyway. It's actually based on one of the minor characters of the manga 'Samurai Deeper Kyo'. Her name's Kosuke who is a shadow warrior to the General, Sanada Yukimura.
. With her in mind, I added a bit of her character to today's lady in MF. It's full of action and I wanted to represent a bit of girl power.

The second girl with shades was done during class. There's a new pup in town and she's soooooo cute! She's a chow pup and she's like a walking teddy! I'm in love with her but won't get to see her for a few weeks as she still needs adjustment in my student's house. Missing her already...

Anyhoo, survived the blazing weekend so have a good week ahead!

Monday Faces: Red Stripes

 Pencils, Watercolours, Digital

There's a sale on moleskines on Book Depository that I got two more watercolour books of different sizes! So excited and can't wait for them to arrive. Meantime, I'm going to continue to do some 'damage' on the last few pages of this current book.

It's been fun doing a spread as this is a pretty small book (14cm by 9cm). The best thing about these books is that I get the best of both worlds. The smooth paper where my pencil can glide yet it refuses to buckle under those watercolour paints.

Aside from art work, I've gone back to playing the guitar. Been listening to old songs which I used to play along so I couldn't help but pick it up again. It's sitting next to my desk collecting dust but it's time to let it shine for a bit.

Have a good week, peeps!

Flowers of Gratitude

Watercolours & Pencils

"Everyone is my teacher. Some I seek. Some I subconsciously attract. Often I learn simply by observing others. Some may be completely unaware that I'm learning from them, yet I bow deeply in gratitude." - Eric Allen

Here's some pretty flowers

Monday Faces: Cosmic girl

Pencils, Pen & Watercolours

I do love these watercolour moleskines! Really wish I had not put it away a few years back. Definitely looking to getting a bigger one since I'm using more of the medium.

Been listening to hip hop trio Tiger, Yoon Mi Rae and Bizzy. It helps to keep the motivation up when I'm painting. Though after that, I have too much to think once I stop.
Moral of the story - think less, do more!
