Painting session

Dusting off the acrylics and painting. Slow process and dries way too fast (too used to oils). It's good to change up mediums for practice so that I don't lose touch.

Monday Faces: A bit of sugar

Last week when a friend of mine went through my sketchbook, he said I should add more cute things. So I added these guys to the collection. These lovely sugar gliders sure made me go awww....

Still in awe after watching 'Garden of Words'. The scenery was stunning and I really wish I was there! As usual with most animes, there's always a great storyline. It's about a boy who wishes to be a shoemaker and he meets this stranger only on rainy days. They cross paths and look forward to the rain all the time. I won't give any more away.

And the finale of Hannibal, .... omg...

Now that I got all that out of my system, I set myself another set of goals for the next two weeks. A list of things to get done, bigger steps to take but all needs to be done to get out there and do big things. A bit more pushing!

I hope everyone is working to their goals as well and have a good week!

PS: Finally it's cold like it's supposed to!

Throwback Thursday

Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes! Really appreciate it. It's been a rough couple of months. There are goals waiting to be accomplish so I'll continue to work hard if not, harder. Also, I promise to smile more and have fun along the way. Cheers once again! *bear hugs*

PS: I mastered being Dr Evil at age four!

Bday

Getting some hands done on the hatch day. Some nice words for today:

"There’s so much more to life than finding someone who will want you, or being sad over someone who doesn’t. There’s a lot of wonderful time to be spent discovering yourself without hoping someone will fall in love with you along the way, and it doesn’t need to be painful or empty. You need to fill yourself up with love. Not anyone else. Become a whole being on your own. Go on adventures, fall asleep in the woods with friends, wander around the city at night, sit in a coffee shop on your own, write on bathroom stalls, leave notes in library books, dress up for yourself, give to others, smile a lot. Do all things with love, but don’t romanticize life like you can’t survive without it. Live for yourself and be happy on your own. It isn’t any less beautiful, I promise."

Monday Faces

Lately, I've been pushing myself further physically. All along I was taking care of my body but I thought I better up the game with more physical work, eating every three to four hours etc. (No expensive juice cleanse for me).  It could be a certain day is coming up this week to mark another decade. I still want to be in the best shape that I can be. Also, applying the same philosophy to my work. Pushing and practice is the only way to get better. People appreciate quality work and I want them to enjoy my pieces. I will continue to work hard!

Monday Faces

I had this drawing done two weeks ago but had not put paint on it. Used the new brushes to get into certain details. It's also really nice to paint in this rainy weather except for the part where I keep my toes tucked under my bum. Hope everyone had a good weekend and stay warm!
