It's been a crazy weekend, working on two projects at the same time. I think I can safely say that one project is completed. Also, it's the first time I've drawn so many muscles with the exception of life drawing.
Apart from it all, I still managed to finished this week's Monday Faces featuring the lovely blogger and artist Claire Laffut. I love her neck tattoos and had to draw them! You can visit her tumblr here.
Besides everything, I'm still waiting on fabric samples to arrive which is taking ages and also I have to get to making some prints soon. Also, will be planning a series for Christmas. Where has the time gone! Oh well, have a good week peeps!
From summer weather to cold winter within a few days. It was really cold this morning but it was a lovely morning. One of my students turned 80 yesterday and we gave her a mini celebration with some beautiful home made banana cake and personalized cookies. The smile on her face was priceless. Also we had baby Joseph attend his first art class at three weeks old! He slept most of the time and was such a good baby! Looking forward to seeing him every monday.
Just had a new project come through and I don't mind drawing muscles. Lots of it!
Days are officially longer and thank God for Labour Day! Even though we are now an hour ahead, it still takes some getting adjusting. I took the opportunity to rearrange certain parts of my routine. I get up at my usual 7am but with an earlier breakfast and a nano nap (which became two hours long) have set me back on track. Fixed myself those healthy instagram-looking meals which made my insides feel good - all feels right.
I had this drawing lying around for a few days before I coloured it in. There was a bit of creative block in the beginning but I'm glad it all worked out.
