It's been a pleasure doing a face every monday. This is the last face for the last day of 2012. Time sure flies and this project has proven to be challenging yet fun at the same time. Looking forward to bringing you more faces in 2013. I've taken on new challenges this year which I never thought I could. I'm glad I pushed myself out there. I'll be taking more leaps next year and I'm not sure if I'll be able to accomplish the goals but I'll definitely work hard to get there. Thanks for your support and Happy New Year! xx

Also I just finished off the last monday face class of the year. It's always a pleasure teaching these lovely ladies. Enjoy watching them grow in their skills. To end off the class, we had a bit of a party with home made goodies. I brought some coconut shuku shuku and a lovely feast with some bubbly at a student's house after that. Will see them again next year! For now, some pics!

I had my idea but as I started the priming process, troubles kicked in. The original main colours didn't work out due to a bit of a 'creative block' and lack of time which resulted in me going with the flow of what I could do. So I changed the main background colour and even the finish of the toy. Now it looks like it's made of clay.
It was a challenging process and it's a first for me, but definitely not a last for me. Bring on more munnies and dunnies!! I'll definitely want to get another munny to try out my original idea cos it seemed to look rad in my head. It's going to be the event you wouldn't want to miss so get our of your box and get on down to see some awesome work!

It's a challenge to think of how to make every Monday face different but for some reason this idea just popped into my head after catching up on my sleep over the weekend. I haven't been sleeping well since I've been prepping for the Melting Pot exhibition. This face is more than welcome to my other faces and it's a refreshing and playful change. Oils were painted on fabric and two black beads were sewn on. Go figure where's the face if you don't get it ;) Also, thanks to those who popped into the opening night of the Melting Pot. We had a great turn out and please feel free to pop into our exhibition. We'll have different artists there from Monday to Friday to give you a tour, answer your questions and all our artwork are up for sale as well. We would greatly appreciate if you'll help support our group of artists who are talented and hardworking. Best team of people to work with. I'll be working to get some prints going too. I'll put up more pics of the exhibition in the next post. For now, just a snapshot with my lovely friends.
