Adelaide Illustrators 2013

Thanks to everyone who came to opening night last night. It was great catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones. I got some great advice and tips from peers and the message all around was the same. Just throw yourself out there, grab every opportunity and 'yank her in with all your might' to quote another fellow illustrator.

My banner and along with others will be up until 30th October so come on down to the foyer of Black Sheep Advertising, 187 Rundle Street. Also do check out the adelaide illustrators website here.

On a personal note, great to be outside for fresh air. I'm still on meds but having a dehydration problem, no matter how much water I drink. A friend suggested I take some electrolytes. Still staying away from certain foods and would keep it that way until the end of the month, just to be on the safe side.

Other than that, I would like to share an excerpt/quote from Sue Bryce's blog:

Dear Human:
You’ve got it all wrong. You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. That is where you came from and where you’ll return. You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling. Demonstrated through the beauty of… messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are. You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous. And then to rise again into remembering. But unconditional love? Stop telling that story. Love, in truth, doesn’t need ANY other adjectives. It doesn’t require modifiers. It doesn’t require the condition of perfection. It only asks that you show up. And do your best. That you stay present and feel fully. That you shine and fly and laugh and cry and hurt and heal and fall and get back up and play and work and live and die as YOU. It’s enough. It’s Plenty.”

- Courtney A. Walsh.

Have a great weekend!
