Monday Faces

 

Overwhelmed is probably the word to describe the past week and more. Started to feel the after-effects of lack of sleep and appetite. I'm sure when everything settles, my body can resume back to normal. At least I finished the last oil painting of the year!

In the midst of it all, I managed to squeeze in a quick drawing for today's face. Christmas morning did come early. We had our last class of the year where we exchanged presents and one of my students made this beautiful gingerbread house. It's so beautiful and yummy! Hate to break it but it has to be eaten.

 

10 days till Christmas so hope everyone's isn't stressing too much. Have a good week!

Pencils & Watercolours

I'm quite happy with the way the colours turned out in this illustration. It's been so tricky trying to get the gradients right and I think I succeeded this time round. So yay! 

You know the feeling when you've got everything in control, there's a deadline, and surprises just keep coming? Had to look after two sick family members, followed by fixing up stuff, needing to head to the shops to get supplies... Worse part is I forgot to put up the Christmas tree on two occasions and depended on an alarm to remind me. If only time will stand still for just a while so I can catch up with the heavy load.
