It's here!! I've been tracking the delivery of this book everyday and finally I can rest easy. Yes I know it's rare that I write twice a day in a blog but this is worth putting up :D I'm number 782 and it was numbered and signed by Mr Jean himself. Always love studying his work and I usually grab the affordable stuff he puts out there. So happy!! Thanks to jinxy for my late christmas present. Love IT!!

I've always been a big fan of black and white. That's why I took black and white film photography in summer school and always enjoyed drawing white on black. I have bookmarked Nico Delort's page a few months back but seeing his work again on Colossal got me all excited. His ink and scratchboard illustrations definitely speaks for themselves. There are certain areas in life that I wish I could be blessed with but then I have to remind myself that it's my story, not others. It's not my time yet. At least I have two lovely furry boys who wake me up with kisses on the face and tickles to the feet. Sorry Thumper for accidentally kicking you off the bed.

Chinese New Year Poster for China town

I had the pleasure of being asked to illustrate the poster for this year's Chinese New Year party for Chinatown. The original illustration has a chinese dragon being part of the party but unfortunately, some of the committee members didn't think it was appropriate so it didn't make the cut. Oh well... better luck next time, Mr Dragon. It was until last night that I spotted the poster next to the menu of the restaurant we were checking out. We ate there eventually, of course.

My tendon in my finger is still on the mend ever since that cut almost two weeks ago. I have ideas on doing complicated drawings but I have to wait them out. It does get me down especially with the pain but I'll continue to train my left hand regardless. Pencils for now :/

Drawing exercise with my left hand. These three small drawings took an hour and I can feel the strain on my left eye. Funny part was when I went to grab some food, I automatically held the spoon in my left hand :/

Pental Waterproof Brush Pen

Recently I purchased a brush pen from ebay. It's a Pental Waterproof Brush Pen and I got it for AUD$5.39. It's heaps of fun and it's good practice for controlling different strokes. Two different tips and the pen is a lot longer than I thought. Great to use if you're inspired by Yuko Shimizu ;)
