Finished my anxiety painting. Oils on masonite.

Did some drawing in bed. Had some stomach pain. I used the models in 'Atlas of Foreshortening' by John Cody and Ron Tribell.

Life drawing

Been going to life drawing for the past two weeks at Osmond Terrace, Norwood with my uni mates. I'm really rusty but it's refreshing and I hope to improve with more sessions to come. I've posted some drawings below. Bit of delays for the painting I've set up to do. Been dealing with heavy issues concerning family and home for the past two weeks. Now I'n a bit more focused to continue.

I just finished this sketch for a poster or maybe the EMPTY cover idea. It's mainly to depict the way a person lives with anxiety.

Apologies for the long absence. I have gone into graphic design in order to get jobs and survive in this tough economical world. I've been busy building a portfolio for that side. I'm stoked that I've gotten a job with a local fruit juice company. I will try to do some illustration in my free time. I'm planning on painting big in a project I have in mind. My good friend Michael suggested I pretend I'm working on a cover for EMPTY mag. So I'll going to give it a shot after I'm done with a brochure.

Also, I'll be renovating my website soon. Current look is looking little lifeless.

I'm also a proud owner of a lightbox. It was a birthday present from my boyfriend in which he built it. :D

Grow with me

Done with charcoal pencil. It's a bamboo crawling around a girl's hand though it looks a little like a snake. Thought I'll use this image to play around with some typography.

It's been a while as I've been in Brisbane for a few days for my sister's wedding. Something unfortunate did happen over there where I fell and landed on my right arm. It's been a week since the 'unfortunate' and my arm and wrist is giving me problems as I paint and draw. I have to take painkillers and wear my wrist guard when I do my work.

On the lighter note, I have a new working area. I thought I'll try using oils properly on a piece I'll be submitting for a competition. A ventilated area with the best lighting in the small unit. The kitchen!!

Managed to squeeze in more sketches while the folks are in town.
